The Beta Omicron Corporation Board has engaged the services of BSB Design,
a Des Moines-based architecture and design firm. BSB Design is developing
plans for our new Chapter House at 2136 Lincoln Way. The new house will be
French Normandy in style, with a brick and stone exterior and a pitched slate roof.
The interior of the house will feature bright and open common spaces on the first floor with a large deck adjacent to the dining room, overlooking the courtyard below.
The design will focus on long-term maintenance and livability using the latest technologies and durable materials, finishes and fixtures. The house will be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and will contain suite space specifically for handicapped members. The design will include green energy solutions.
The overall design goal is to build an architecturally significant, high-quality Chapter House. The house will provide competitive accommodations and social amenities for 21st century young men, as well as a pleasant living and learning environment. Beta Omicron members and alumni will have great pride in our new Chapter House. It will simply be the best.

Securing The Future of Beta Omicron
Each of us, simply by our presence, has contributed to the history of Sigma Chi at Iowa State University.
How appropriate then that each of us has an opportunity to invest in the future of Beta Omicron Chapter. At the advent of this project, a small group of alumni, many of whom you will know, made early commitments and stretched their gifts to demonstrate the importance of this project. We urge each alumnus to do the same and consider a major gift to the campaign. To help donors maximize their gifts, the Campaign Executive Board and Corporation Board have designed the campaign with our alumni in mind.
Tax Deductibility. The Internal Revenue Service will allow exclusively educational space in the newly constructed Chapter House to be funded with tax-deductible dollars that are gifted through the Sigma Chi Foundation and designated for the Beta Omicron Chapter. With only a portion of the project meeting this stipulation, the need for non-tax-deductible gifts is great. This means we are urging donors to consider directing a majority of their gift to the Beta Omicron Chapter fund (non-tax deductible)
Payment Options. Pledges can be fulfilled as a one-time gift, annual installments, or by monthly payments spread over a five-year period.
Matching gifts and tax benefits on gifts of securities. If your employer offers a matching gift program, this gift may be eligible. Also, gifts of securities are encouraged as there are often significant tax advantages to the donor. (For professional advice, please consult your tax advisor.)
Recognizing loyal Sigs. Special naming opportunities and a framed campaign memento will be available to alumni offering a gift of $25,000 and above. All donors contributing $2,500 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque and will appear in campaign publications. Names will appear by category, relative to the size of the gift. Gifts in honor or in memory of brothers, as well as family and pledge class gifts, are welcomed. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor and the honoree.
