Several alumni joined us for the third annual alumni work weekend this past July. This new tradition of helping the undergraduates prepare the house for the next school year has been a great opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Ames re-acquainting with old friends and making some new ones and at the same time giving back to the chapter. Several different decades of alumni and undergraduates attended this year as well as some current undergraduates. This year the house was left in relatively good shape at the end of the school year and the past two years of brining old furniture to the dump finally paid off and reduced the work effort. The primary focus was yard work, gutter cleaning, painting the hallways and building a parking barrier between the Sigma Chi and ATO parking lots to reduce through traffic on our recently leveled parking lot.
